Her innocence was placed on sale like a piece of jewelry, sold to the highest bidder. For three years, Madison has waited for her chance to escape the life of prostitution forced on her. Now the moment has come. The man named Hayes has won three nights with her—outside of her owner’s compound in the jungles of Colombia.

Missionary philanthropist Adrian Rockfield has slipped undercover to rescue Madison. He’s also her husband, thanks to a Texan law permitting her grandmother to say the vows for her by proxy. As they flee from Latin American drug lords, Rock keeps his word not to touch her, but his strong faith probes putrid wounds. Filled with rage against God and men, Madison vows to gain total independence once she’s safe in the United States.

Will Rock’s gentle protection be the key to liberate her not only from Cartel vengeance but also from the shame that torments her?

Here to Stay--Copyright 2006
Eva Roosevelt struggles with the desire her husband, Peter, and brother-in-law, Nick, both have to bring the Gospel to the Chinese people behind the Bamboo Curtain. However, when the Lord reveals His calling to her as well, she prepares for a life far different than the one she has always known.

However, a week before she and Peter are scheduled to fly to China with their three children in order to begin missionary work, tragedy strikes. Through her grief and pain, Eva is forced to redefine her identity as well as her purpose. With Nick’s help, she undertakes a short-term mission trip to China with her children and begins a journey to discover anew the Lord’s will and her reasons for serving Him.

Through the Lord’s tender mercies, she finds her heart filled with love for the Chinese people and a burden to live among them. Yet, the obstacles seem overwhelming to her as a widow with young children. Through her struggles with her own loss and the pressure of family and friends not to pursue a missionary life, Nick becomes the tool the Lord uses to provide insight and strength.

Set in the United States and the People’s Republic of China in the early 21st century, Here to Stay reflects the author’s firsthand challenges of faith while serving in a foreign land with young children. Here to Stay deals with the struggle to be able to sacrifice in the midst of tragedy and obey in the midst of opposition. It also portrays how God’s love is able to satisfy every need and redeem every loss.
